Description
Clutch spring setup is a compromise between how much pressure & holding power you need and how much lever pull you're willing to live with. The Duplex kit lets you pick your point on that curve — and change it later.
The heart of the kit is a two-position billet plate. Flip it 180 degrees and it adds or removes clutch plate pressure. That's the whole mechanism: no re-shimming, no buying a second spring set, no guessing. With the supplied springs, the low-pressure setting handles roughly 160 ft-lbs of torque with a mild pull at the lever. Flip to the high setting and it's effective past 170 ft-lbs with just a bit more level pull.
That range covers the great majority of performance engines and applications, which is what makes the Duplex such a practical answer — you get real tunability without the cost of a specialty clutch, and lever feel stays similar to stock tension.
It's also uncomplicated to install. It fits under your stock derby cover, works with hydraulic and cable clutches alike, and drops in alongside a stock clutch, Rekluse TorqDrive, G3, or most aftermarket packs. Made in the USA.
